frequently Asked Question

We’ll treat your wedding like it’s our own – putting our heart into every moment, every glance, every tear, and every laugh. With over 25 years of experience and nearly 1,700 weddings captured, we’ve seen it all and handled it all. Whether it’s tricky family dynamics or unexpected surprises, we navigate it all with ease.

But we’re more than just photographers—we’re your guides. We’ll help you craft a timeline that lets your day unfold naturally, so you can focus on celebrating. No matter what happens—rain, snow, or last-minute changes—you can trust us to stay calm, adapt quickly, and capture your story beautifully. Let us handle the details while you soak in the magic of the day.

Our basic photo pricing begins at $3295 and our basic video pricing also begins at $3295. That said, to give you a general idea, most of our couples invest between $7000 and $10,000.

To officially reserve your date, we require both a signed contract and a retainer fee. We’re only able to hold dates once both are received, and since we take on a limited number of weddings each year, bookings are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.

We accept cash, check, credit card and Zelle.

Absolutely! Every image you receive is carefully hand-edited to ensure the highest quality and attention to detail.  More advanced editing, such as skin smoothing, blemish removal, and other renhancements are reserved for those images chosen for your album, prints, or wall art.

Your online gallery will be ready about 12 weeks after your wedding. Film previews go out around the same time, and most film revision requests are completed in just a few days. Once you approve your album design, it typically takes another 12 weeks to arrive.

Nope! Your high-resolution JPEGs will be delivered without watermarks.

Rather than aiming for a set number, we focus on capturing the best moments of your day. On average, for a 10-hour wedding with two photographers, we deliver about 1,000–1,200 images—but that number can vary depending on your unique event.

No, we don’t provide RAW files. Instead, you’ll receive a curated collection of high-resolution, polished images. While we retain the copyright (and may use images for promotions or professional critiques), we’re happy to provide a formal release so you can print and share unlimited personal copies.

Not quite! We take thousands of photos, but we carefully select the best ones—removing duplicates, test shots, and any that don’t meet our high standards. The final collection is thoughtfully curated to truly reflect your day.

The images we deliver are the best of the best. We remove test shots, blurry frames, closed eyes, and anything that doesn’t add to your wedding story. Many of our shots are part of a creative process—testing angles, adjusting lighting—so any images that don’t make the final cut aren’t stored or available for viewing.

Yes! We’re fully insured and can provide proof to your venue if needed.

We wish we could, but to be fair to all couples, we book on a first-come, first-served basis. A retainer and signed contract are required to officially secure your date.

A 30% booking fee is required to lock in your date. The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before your wedding.

In over 25 years, we’ve never missed a wedding. That said, we take our commitment seriously and have backup plans in place just in case. If an emergency ever came up, we have trusted photographers of the same caliber ready to step in. If you have any concerns, just reach out—we’ve got it covered.

As soon as possible! Most couples book about 18 months in advance, and popular dates fill up quickly. The sooner you reach out, the better your chances of securing your date.

Just head to our contact page and send us a message! Someone from our team will get back to you.

Of course! We’d love to work with you to create a package that fits your needs.

All of our JK Rose photographers and cinematographers have worked together for years—some for decades! We’ve trained them to deliver not just the quality of work you expect but also the professionalism and presence you’d want by your side on your wedding day.

Every wedding day is unique, and how you envision it being captured should shape how your timeline unfolds. At JK Rose, we prioritize what matters most to you, whether it’s intimate moments with your partner, cherished family portraits, or the spontaneous energy of the dance floor.

One of the many benefits of being a JK Rose couple is the emphasis we place on The Experience. From your initial consultation to the final gallery delivery, you’ll work with your Lead Photographer to build a timeline that flows naturally and feels like you.

Recommended Timeline Breakdown

Our suggested breakdown helps ensure there’s space for both storytelling and spontaneity. Think of this as a starting point—we’ll customize every detail together.

Bridal Prep – ~2 Hours

This is one of our favorite parts of the day to photograph—the calm before the celebration.

  • Hour 1: We’ll capture all the special details: your dress, shoes, jewelry, invitations, heirlooms, and all your bling.
  • Hour 2: We’ll photograph final touch-ups, robe moments with your crew, and meaningful interactions while stepping into your gown.
To make the most of this time:
  • Hair and makeup should be completed before our arrival.
  • Whoever is helping you into your dress (often mom or maid of honor) should be fully ready at least 1 hour before departure time.
Groom Prep – ~1 Hour

Groom prep is often more relaxed, but no less meaningful.
We’ll spend this hour capturing:

  • Candid getting-ready moments with groomsmen
  • Details like cufflinks, shoes, watch, tie, cologne
  • Helping each other suit up
  • Toasts, gifts, or letters from your partner

Tip:Make sure the groom and his crew are showered and dressed down to shirts and pants before we arrive, so we can jump right into the good stuff.

First Look – 30 Minutes

This is a quiet, intentional moment just for the two of you. Whether you’re reading letters, exchanging vows, or simply seeing each other for the first time, we’ll give you space while capturing every emotion.

Portraits – ~2 Hours

Bridal Party & Family – ~1 Hour
Group size will affect the timing, but we’ll keep it flowing while making sure no one feels rushed or overlooked.

Couple Portraits – Minimum 1 Hour
These are the images you’ll frame, share, and look back on forever. We’ll guide you gently while letting you be yourselves—romantic, playful, whatever fits your vibe.

Cocktail Hour & Reception – ~5 Hours

Once portraits are done, you can relax and enjoy the rest of the celebration. We’ll be there through cocktail hour and a four-hour reception, documenting everything from your grand entrance to the last dance.

Final Thoughts

Your wedding day should feel like a celebration—not a photoshoot. That’s why we help build timelines that allow for flexibility, connection, and moments that truly matter. No matter who you’re marrying or how you celebrate, we’re here to help tell your story beautifully.
