There was something utterly magical about Sunday, September 7 — as though time itself paused for a breath, allowing two hearts long intertwined to step forward together, surrounded by the rustic charm of Five Birds Farm, the laughter of friends, and the warmth of family under a wide sky.
The Journey In
The afternoon began not in the usual hush of a bridal suite, but at Black River & Western Railroad – Flemington Station. Cars were parked; guests gathered. Banana pudding was served as sweet comfort, guiding everyone toward the upcoming journey. A train awaited — not just any ride, but symbolic: a departing platform, chugging toward the promise ahead. Guests began boarding with hearts full and pants pressed, shoes chosen for both elegance and grass—a detail: the grounds here are soft, alive, and full of possibility.
As the train rolled forward, excitement mingled with the rhythmic click of wheels. Conversations flitted between anticipation, memories, and joy. This was meant to be more than ceremony—it was a story in motion, literal and metaphorical.
The Ceremony at Five Birds Farm
Under a sky brushed in soft evening light, vows were exchanged. The venue, Five Birds Farm, while rustic and outdoors, felt intimate and sacred. The scent of late summer air, the gentle rustle of leaves, perhaps even a breeze that carried laughter—everything conspired to make it perfect.
Cocktail hour followed, with hors d’oeuvres poured out like little love notes to the palate. Friends hugged. Families smiled broadly. Someone’s camera caught a tear; someone else caught a story in another’s eyes.
Reception: Game Night & Dinner Under the Stars
As twilight thickened into deeper blue, the farm lit up—not with harsh lights, but with intimate bulbs, warm amber tones, the soft glimmer of lanterns or candlelight. At 6:00 PM, dinner and festivities officially began: Games, salsa dancing, music in the air, clinking glasses, and joy unbridled. There was movement—on the dance floor, in laughter, in the gentle clinking of silverware. Guests in colorful sun-dresses, saris, dress suits—spun and mingled.
People toasted the couple, stories were shared: how they met, the journey behind, the hopes ahead. The magic was in the little moments: someone stepping on toes mid-salsa; the first bite of dessert; the look when the couple shared their first dance; the friend who raised a glass to their future.

Apoorva & Alberto’s wedding was more than a union—it was an experience.
